Objectives


Upon successful completion of this course, the participant should be able to:

  • Analyze and define important challenges for stakeholders

  • Propose creative and valuable solutions to existing challenges

  • Investigate and sharpen ideas into business concepts

  • Realize concepts in a cost-effective way

Programme


Session 1 : User-centricity & Design thinking

During this session you will discover tools for user-centric research, to uncover important (hidden) user needs and get acquainted with the concept of ‘job-to-be-done’. You will learn how to focus on specific challenges and come up with creative solutions, based on your own experience and/or cross-industry learnings.

Session 2 : Value proposition design

During this session we will focus on creating a valuable solution to the detected user need. We will explore various angles to discover which elements or features should be included or excluded in your offering. Together, we will work with tools to benchmark competitive offerings and explore go-to market opportunities.

Session 3 : Lean start-up & validation

During this session, we will work with a industry best practice framework for validating assumptions for success: the lean start-up way. Just like start-ups, we will define small and cheap experiments to validate elements of our solutions and tweak it where needed. We will showcase hands-on tools and tips & tricks to accelerate growth

Session 4 : Effective delivery & agile development

During this final session, we will draft an action plan to getd. You will get familiar with tools to realize the innovation successfully, including unexpected hurdles along the way.

Target audience


SMEs with a product or service (range) and ability to reshape to value proposition.
Attitude: openness to investigate the current situation and willingness to innovate (take a development risk)

Prerequisites


Familiarity with general business principles and thorough understanding of client context.

Method


Mix of expert talks, with group discussions and individual exercises based on trained tools.

Certificate


At the end of the training, the participants will receive a certificate of participation delivered by the House of Training.
