It is necessary to carry out a MBTI online self-test (which takes about 30 minutes and allows the profile of the participants to be assessed.) (prepared by homework). This self-test will be sent by the speaker before the training.
Why a programme for women only ?
Women often face special challenges: They focus more on performance and less on visibility, are less power-conscious, more hesitant in networking and their actions are often interpreted and evaluated differently from men. Prof. Dr. Marion Festing, from ESCP has developed a training concept that takes these special conditions for women in leadership positions into account.
- You learn what really drives, inspires, and worries different personality types, helping you build more meaningful relationships.
- You discover about the female challenge, how do gender stereotypes matter in business, gender bias in HRM decisions etc.
- The important outcome of this sessions is to understand what part of our behaviors originate in our true personality and which are the result of environmental influences or pressures. This is where the socialization of gender roles can play a part in our own assessment and on career/life choices.
- Part of this session is the MBTI online test to know your profile (prepared by home work).
Unfold your own leadership style with MBTI.
Unleashing your female talent is what we are striving for during this workshop.
Part I: 4 hours
The objective is to understand how personality differences are central to personal and professional development.
Personality is at the intersection of nature and culture: we have some genetic predispositions, yet our environment will influence who we end up being.
We will use the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) which is a personality inventory based on the theories of Carl Jung. The MBTI is an non-judgmental tool. it allows people to gain an understanding of their own preferences, particularly with respect to their energy sources, information gathering, decision-making, and lifestyle/work patterns.
Part II: 4 hours
Both practice and research tell us that the most creative teams are diverse, because different people with different personalities, gender, nationalities, and background bring different perspectives to the table.
This diversity should yield more creativity and better decision-making. Yet, diversity is a double edge sword, as it also fosters conflicts and a loss of energy.
We will work on recognizing your “natural” leadership and followership preferences. Only if we gain insights in which part of our behaviors are personality driven or culturally driven (whether professional culture or national culture for example) can we actually leverage diversity to be beneficial for the team and for the organisation (because of better performing teams).
