Alternative Investment Fund Managers Directive (AIFMD) - Understanding Fundamentals

The objective of this module is to provide participants with a solid understanding of the Alternative Investment Fund Managers Directive.
The subject will be covered in a pragmatic format, using examples wherever possible and allowing for questions and discussion.

• The scope of the Directive
• Passports, marketing and management
• Authorization
• Conduct of business (including governance, internal control, rules of conduct, remuneration, conflicts of interest)
• Functions and service providers (incl. portfolio management, risk / liquidity management, delegation and sub-delegation, valuation, depositary)
• Transparency (disclosure to investors, annual reports, reporting to competent authorities)
• Specific provisions
• impact on investors, product ranges and organizational models
• Implementation

For this training course, an optional exam is available. In case of interest, candidates can choose a date from the list of proposed examinations sessions. Registration for the exam must be made at least five days before the chosen exam date. The exam is subject to a registration fee.

At the end of the training, the participants can download a certificate of attendance from their client portal of House of Training.
