Description
Introduction
Public speaking is an art that requires you to adapt to your audience and communicate clearly to convey your message effectively. This advanced public speaking coaching programme provides the tools you need to refine your skills and increase the impact of your oral communication.
By reviewing recordings made during the training with the coach, you will identify your strengths and potential, and put the advice into practice for immediate results.
It is recommended that you have completed the “Public Speaking – Fundamentals” course or feel confident in the basic skills of public speaking.
Objectives
By the end of the training, participants will be able to:
Increase the impact of their communication to capture and maintain attention and be more persuasive.
Analyse the challenges involved in public speaking.
Prepare their presentations by defining their objectives and the key messages they wish to convey.
Adapt their speech to the audience’s expectations and profile.
Develop their physical and vocal presence to persuade and engage their audience.
Present the right arguments at the right time.
Use metaphors and illustrate their points with concrete examples.
Develop their storytelling skills to evoke emotion and capture the audience’s attention.
Handle challenging communication situations by addressing objections and using them to move the discussion forward.
Experiment with different approaches to public speaking to develop their own speaking style.
Master videoconferencing tools and features to communicate effectively.
Identify mental and physical preparation techniques to turn stage fright into a strength.
Programme
The first day focuses on learning advanced techniques and practising through recorded presentations. Participants must prepare a structured six-minute presentation in advance.
The following half-day — in the morning for half of the participants and in the afternoon for the other half — focuses on the final exercise: a second structured nine-minute presentation, followed by feedback and debriefing.
Dividing participants into two groups aims to optimise their training time and reduce the time spent observing and analysing other participants’ presentations.
