Financial services are being transformed by digitalisation, new technologies and changing customer expectations.

The Fintech Certificate prepares professionals to understand, evaluate and integrate innovation, from blockchain & big data to AI in finance.

This programme is designed for the Luxembourg financial sector, combining academic rigour from HEC Liège - a double-accredited (EQUIS & AACSB) management school - with the market expertise of the Luxembourg House of Financial Technology (LHoFT).

You will learn directly from industry practitioners and engage with startups, investors, and potential clients.

Objectives

  • Hands-on, Field-Oriented Learning : Opportunity to contribute to an existing project or develop your own Fintech use case.

  • Mastery of Key Financial Technologies : Blockchain, Big Data, Artificial Intelligence and direct application in real-world financial contexts.

  • Development of Concrete Use Cases : Design of Fintech solutions tailored to specific needs and Integration into everyday professional practice.

  • Gain access to a strategic network : potential clients, investors, and incubators.

Blockchain & Big Data (36 hours)

  • Explore how blockchain and big data reshape processes in finance and beyond.

  • Identify concrete use cases for tokenisation, data-driven innovation and operational efficiency.

  • Acquire practical skills for effective implementation in a regulated environment.

  • Connect with leading experts and innovators; learn through applied cases.

Harnessing AI for Business Innovation (36 hours)

  • Understand core AI concepts and applications across financial services.

  • Use AI to improve decision-making, streamline processes and enhance customer experience

  • Address ethics, governance and organisational adoption.

Target Audience

  • Professionals seeking to better identify and seize opportunities at the intersection of technology and finance.

  • Individuals aiming to develop concrete use cases that combine tech and finance for immediate application in their day-to-day professional activities.

  • Entrepreneurs already involved in a fintech venture—or actively exploring one—who are looking to access clients, investors, and integrate into Luxembourg’s fintech ecosystem.

Certificate

Upon completion of the programme, participants will receive a certificate jointly issued by HEC Liège, LHoFT and House of Training.
