Effective leadership with the ability to understand and manage yourself – and extends to understanding and positively influencing others.
This two-day training develops the core dimensions of emotional intelligence that enable leaders to remain effective under pressure, make more conscious decisions and build stronger professional relationships.
Participants learn how to regulate their own emotions, better understand those of others, and create the conditions for trust, collaboration, and constructive communication within their teams.
Objectives
By the end of the training, participants will be able to:
Identify their emotional patterns and triggers and assess how these influence their leadership behaviour and decisions
Apply physiological, cognitive and behavioural regulation strategies to manage emotions and stress more effectively
Recognise others’ emotions, perspectives and nonverbal signals to strengthen social awareness and empathy
Adapt their leadership behaviour and communication to different people and emotionally challenging situations
Apply emotionally intelligent approaches to strengthen trust, collaboration and constructive professional relationships

Day 1 – Understanding and Regulating Yourself
Understanding emotional intelligence and its role in effective leadership
Developing emotional self-awareness and identifying personal triggers
Understanding how emotions and stress influence behaviour and decision-making
Strengthening emotional self-regulation at physiological, cognitive and behavioural levels
Applying emotional intelligence to challenging leadership situations
Day 2 – Understanding Others and Interacting More Effectively
Developing empathy and social awareness
Recognising emotional and non-verbal signals
Understanding others’ perspectives, reactions and needs
Building trust, collaboration and psychological safety
Navigating conflicts, feedback and challenging interactions with emotional intelligence
Transferring emotionally intelligent leadership into everyday management practice
Target audience
Managers, team leaders, future leaders and professionals preparing to take on leadership responsibilities.
Teaching method
The training follows a practical and interactive approach, combining evidence-based theoretical input with professional case studies, self-reflection, practical exercises, group discussions and role plays. Participants apply the concepts to realistic leadership situations and develop strategies they can transfer directly into their day-to-day management practice.
