Project Management is part of our International MBA and can be taken independently. 

This course is designed to provide a practical and structured approach to managing projects, aligned with the Project Management Standard and the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK Guide) from the Project Management Institute (PMI).

Participants will learn not only the technical methodology of project management but also the essential soft skills needed to navigate potential obstacles, anticipate challenges, and manage project teams effectively. The course emphasizes pragmatic application, translating concepts into participants’ professional contexts through a variety of didactical tools, following David Kolb’s experiential learning cycle.

Objectives

By the end of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Understand a project management methodology that emphasizes asking the right questions at the right moment (method before tools),

  • Recognize the impact of management by projects within an organization and define what constitutes a project,

  • Apply the Project Management Approach (Performance, Process & People) in line with PMI standards and PMBOK Guide tools and techniques,

  • Demonstrate the roles and responsibilities of a project leader, including interpersonal skills, team building, and problem-solving for project challenges beyond technical aspects,

  • Anticipate and manage common difficulties in leading projects and project teams effectively.

The course develops participants’ project management knowledge and skills by covering:

  • Foundations of Project Management: Principles, methodology, and project definitions,

  • Project Management Standards: Performance, process, and people approach aligned with PMI and PMBOK Guide,

  • Roles and Responsibilities: Project leader and team member competencies, interpersonal skills, and team building,

  • Soft Skills for Project Success: Anticipating challenges, problem-solving, and managing obstacles,

  • Applied Learning: Experiential exercises, case studies, and assignments integrating methodology into professional contexts,

  • Certification Preparation: Optional preparation for the CAPM® Certificate exam.
